Air Travel with 12 Month Old

Hi Everyone! I'll be traveling next week for the first time with my 12 month old. Our flight is only 2.5 hours long but my little guy is a very busy little boy. He'll be flying on my lap. I could really use some suggestions for how to keep him occupied during the flight. Thanks in advance for your help!

Too Much Princess?

My parents watch my 2 year old two days a week and are great with her. They have more than just a occasional grandparent role in her life and have a big influence on her. No offense to anyone, but my husband and I don't like princess and all things girly for her. She certainly wears pink and has dolls, but we also expose her to Curious George, Elmo, sports etc. We just don't love princess as a role model. My parents are over the top on all things princess, dance, frilly, etc and it is starting to annoy us. She came home with 2 princess...

My Cat Is Peeing in Other Places Besides Her Litter Box!!

Okay, my cat is about 6 years old and this morning i found that she had peed on my 16 month olds little Elmo couch that folds out for him to lay on (we just bought this for him this past Saturday and he absolutly loves it). First of all i was wondering if anyone knows how to get the cat pee out of it, we can't put it in the washer and this is brand new, this morning i put it in the laundry room and my son had a fit, i felt so bad for him, i think this little couch is his favorite thing we have ever gotten him! Anyway, any advice on getting...

Games/ Books/ Songs Etc.- to Help Keep Mr. Wriggles on the POTTY

Mamas & Papas- We've got a very active nearly two year old, who won't sit still. We've introduced the potty, but haven't figured out how to get him to sit and stay on it. He just pops right up. Any thoughts and suggestions for games/ books songs, techniques we can use to get DS to sit long enough for the magic to happen? We've bought the elmo goes potty video, and a potty monkey to assist us and DS with the training, so I think we are OK on that front. What I'm after is books/ games activites which we can use to occupy him while on...

1 Year Old Who Now Hates Diaper Changing Time

My 1 year old daughter now hates diaper changing time. She has been fine with it since she was born but for the last month or so everytime I lay her down to change her diaper or to change her clothes she get really fussy, starts crying, kicking, and trying to get away. I have tried keeping her entertained but that isn't working anymore. Any suggestions?

Needing to Get My Son's Poor Sleeping Habits Under Control.

Ugh where do I begin. I have been dealing with my son's poor sleeping habits since he's been two weeks old. He is now 17 months old and still not sleeping properly. A little past history....In the begining he was colic which I beleive was one cause of his poor sleeping habits, we put him on alimentum and pepcid and he could not tolerate any regular formula, really not even the allimentum, from colic was teething, before i lost my mind I started bringing Mason into bed with my husband and I in order to get some sleep( in the middle of...

When to Potty Train?

I have a 16 month old son who is still in diapers. Some of my family members have encouraged me to start potty training. Some say they have done so and by 17 months, their toddlers were out of diapers. My MIL told me to not even think about it til he is 3 years old. I have a potty for him and I tell him occasionally to sit there if he needs to go potty. He does go and sit there sometimes but not all the time. He sits on it with his pants and diapers on, it's more like I am trying to get him to understand what the potty is for. So I...

Momma, Did Elmo Call?

Yes, my hubby found an app that will have Elmo call your child. It's super cute! You can set it up to call and talk to your child about different topics. You can set a schedule and everything. We have it set around bedtime, from cleaning up to brushing his teeth yo going to bed. My 3 1/3 year old loves it! It does encourage him to get the tasks done quickly, so if you have a slow poke, it may help. My son never really had an issue with bedtime, but sometimes he would get bored with the routine and start "needing." Now, he is too concerned...

Birthday Party for My Turning 1 Yr Old and Turning 10 Yr Old Sons.

Both my boys are celebrating birthdays in April. The baby is turning one on the 6th and my older one is turning 10 on the 10th. How in the world will I be able to celebrate them both??? Should I give them seperate parties or what? The baby likes Elmo. I think my older one wouldn't mind a sleepover? Both are milestones and I want them to be very memorable. Oh did I mention that they have different fathers which means 2 different crowds.??? OMG how??? The weather can also be very tricky cold, warm rainy should it be indoors, outdoors???

Husband Needs to Go on a Diet

My husband tells me to be strict to him about what he eats, he says I need to be his drill sergeant. I've been doing research and finding low fat recipe meals for us. I just had a baby 1 1/2 months ago so I thought this would be a good time to lose weight together since I am recovered. I cooked him a low fat meal like ex: baked fish, vegetables and some brown rice and water to go with it. He ruins it by mixing mayonnaise and relish together and tops it on his fish and kills his vegetables and rice with salt. Every meal he does something...
