Good-looking Moderately Priced Men's Jeans

My husband needs some jeans. He will not go buy any. Claims he doesn't deserve any until he loses weight and the ones he has fit fine. BUT THEY ARE UGLY!! I've decided to buy him some myself!!!

He works in the corporate world, so he wears slacks and nice polos (yay--not suit and tie). On weekends, he wears wind pants and t-shirts which is great for around the house. However, he needs something a little nicer for dinners out, etc.

He's 6'1" and weighs about 225. Thick all over. How about Old Navy jeans (regular boot cut)? Any other suggestions? $50 or under?

Don't even ask--you know he will NOT go somewhere to try them on!!

I like Gap 1969's. They aren't "low-waisted" which most guys hate, but they aren't the ol' "high waisted" that most women hate.

About $30 as I recall.

Oh, and they leave enough room in the crotch, which is usual male obstacle to buying jeans, and why we prefer the old man jeans...

In my experience, Old Navy is sized on the small side, so if he's self-conscious about his weight (sounds like he is), I wouldn't opt for that. Target actually has great jeans that are priced well. And, we've had excellent luck finding jeans for the hubby at Ross. Kohls is always a good option as well. I have to buy his too, or else he will come home with the ugliest jeans ever!

I am not a huge fan of Old Navy jeans. They tend to stretch very quickly once you have them on!

Here's my surprise discovery of the year re: jeans... Target! I'm still dropping the last 10 lbs of baby weight, but wanted a cheap (but nice looking) pair to get me through and found great jeans at Target.

Kohls is pretty pricey for Levis. My husband has to get his work jeans at Kohls b/c of their contractual agreement and I was SHOCKED by what they charge for a pair of Levis. The hubs is an engineer and their company buys them jeans to wear "on-site" so they don't ruin their khakis... AND they launder them! Yay, but still pretty pricey for "throw away" jeans.

Also check Marshalls and TJ Maxx.

Levis, fit and quality are just the best. They can be pricey but check at JC Penney, they are often on sale there, plus they have a HUGE selection of cuts and sizes.

A.,
do you belong to Costco? I have seen (and my husband bought) Calvin Klein jeans for around $30. They also have their own brand of jeans (Kirkland) that look nice but we haven't bought for $20 or so. I have also seen Lucky jeans there. I would buy a couple of different sizes and bring them home. You can always return there with no troubles.

It may sound weird, but try Aeropostale. I went to buy workout clothes from there, and came across some really good looking mens jeans for under $30!
My husband is a pretty manly dude, but he wears them and looks GOOD!

Levi's. Can't go wrong with a pair of Levis. :) Khols has them on sale all of the time. I think even not on sale, most styles are under $50.

My husband has thick legs and I always buy his jeans at Old Navy. They are reasonably priced and pretty stylish/modern looking. I usually buy the loose or relaxed fit ones. Sometimes I buy two pairs if I'm not sure what kind then keep both or return the one he doesn't like. Hope this helps:)

My husband has two pairs of wranglers! They're not just for cowboys anymore! I think we got them at target, maybe Walmart. They're super comfortable for jeans he says and they're nice looking (I'm a super fashionista, so trust me on that!). And he hated the more expensive pairs I got him before that.

My hubby likes Old Navy jeans, but they aren't the most durable. I've gotten him a few pairs of Levis, and they are great. They are right about the $50 price point, depending on where you get them.

oh my goodness you came to the right Mama. Well, my son decided to become a heavy weight wrestler and hasn't quite made the status but put on a lot of weight and is very muscular. He is around six feet and 253 pounds. I am find it is easier to shop for him just about everywhere. Target had wonderful jeans, and they were on sale for about eight dollars a pair and they were some name brand. And Walmart and Sears are great, too. I told my son, who tried to stuff himself into pants because he felt similar to you husband that you feel so much better, no matter what your size if your clothes are comfortable. He now looks great all the time and feels great. Let your husband know there are lots of people who love great big guys out there!!!
